At the Chernov Team, we work very hard for our clients. This creates a shortage of time, which makes it imperative that we use that time with the people in our lives who truly matter to us. While this is far from a blog about relationships, we can’t ignore an idea that has gained popularity – the date night box. What is a date night box you ask? Well, first and foremost it is a container. Like most things in life, however, what’s on the inside is what matters most. Write ideas for a date night on a small piece of paper, fold it up, throw it in your date night box. Next time date night comes around, reach into that box, pull out a paper, and voila! You have your date for the evening. It’s a fun and whimsical way to decide what you and your significant other will do on any given evening. Here are a few ideas to get your date night box started!

Go to a Comedy Show – Let’s be honest, your significant other is probably already your best friend, and what better way to enjoy your best friend than to laugh with them? In another post, we discussed our 3 favorite comedy shows near Studio City, CA. That post can be found here.

Batting Cages and Mini-Golf – Located nearby, Sherman Oaks Castle Park is the ultimate date night on a budget – and let’s be fair, we’re all on a budget. Mini-golf will run you and yours a grand total of $13.00 for a solid hour of fun (if you want to go another round it will be an additional $6.00). If you’re into air hockey or just arcades in general, they’ve got that too. Finally, maybe hitting the batting cages is a little more down your plate – for $37.00 you can take a swing, or a 100, for 30 minutes.

Go for a Hike – While #2 claimed to be the ultimate date night on a budget, we may have spoken too soon. Hiking is both good for you and free. For a list of our favorite local hiking spots, read this article.
In addition to these three ideas, we have a running list of things to do around town, maybe a few of those will make your list too! Life as a hard-working adult is time-consuming, the Chernov Team encourages making time for the things that matter to you.
