Muhammed Ali’s Mansion is for Sale, and it’s a Knockout

Boxing aficionados should rejoice, the 11,545 ft2 mansion of the People’s Champion is for sale! That’s right, the Louisville Lip’s home could be yours for $16.9 million.

“The Greatest” lived in this mansion with his wife Veronica Porche Ali from 1979 until 1986, when they divorced.  The Brown Bomber’s mansion was built in 1916 and was sold in 2001 for $2,500,000.00; that’s some serious appreciation for the Hitman’s abode.

The home of Mr. “Hands of Stone” was designed by the same gentleman who designed the Griffith Park Observatory, John C. Austin, and enjoys 1.6 acres of land that resembles a park as well as nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a large guesthouse with a full bath and bedroom.

The Mongoose’s mansion received numerous celebrity visits from the likes of Clint Eastwood, Michael Jackson, and Sylvester Stallone; this author likes to believe they filmed the most epic musical boxing film ever here – the facts do not support this belief, unfortunately.

While the Chernov Team does not hold this listing, we take pride on keep up-to-date on all things real estate, and that includes the sale of the Bayonne Bleeder’s mansion. At the end of the day, it pays to be informed; the Chernov Team understands that whoever comes to the table most prepared leaves with the most, and the Chernov Team always leaves the table with the most – much like the late, great, Cassius Clay.
